Golf Tournament

vesperaerialThis year’s charity golf event will be held on Monday September 20, 2010 at Vesper Country Club. Vesper has recently completed the largest golf course renovation in its 125 year history and will once again provide a great venue for our event. 

Your support was vital to the success of the Fund in assisting the adoptive families that you see here in the newsletter. We would love to have your support again as we continue the mission of the Fund. There are so many more children in search of a loving home and we can make a huge difference in their lives. 

Here are some of the ways you can help: 

  • Play in the golf tournament on September 20, 2010 
  • Sponsor a tee or green
  • Donate a silent auction item
  • Make a contribution directly to the fund

The Stone Family adoption Assistance Fund was founded in 2007 to commemorate the life and spirit of Andrew Christopher Stone. The fund is dedicated to the building of families through adoption funding. We accomplish this goal by raising funds to provide financial assistance to deserving parents that wish to adopt, or have incurred economic hardship through adoption, and do not have sufficient funds to fulfill their dreams. 

We have a variety of participation options for the event. Put together a foursome to come and play or come as an individual and we’ll match you with a group. In addition, consider sponsoring a tee or a green. We will have signage with your name or company name prominently displayed. Another participation option is to donate an item for the raffle or silent auction. Examples of donated items to date are golf for a foursome at The International, Red Sox, Bruins and Celtic tickets, an original painting and a hand sewn quilt. If you are not a golfer we have a Dinner only option so that you can still attend the reception, dinner and silent auction. 

We would like you to know that your contributions to the fund go directly to assisting families. The fund has no paid personnel, only volunteers. Except for minor administrative expenses, all of the monies raised by the fund will be granted to worthy families. 

On behalf of the Fund I would like to thank you for supporting us in this difficult economic environment. I look forward to seeing you at Vesper Country Club on July 13,2009.
