We have scheduled the inaugural Stone Family Adoption Assistance Fund Charity Golf Tournament for Monday, July 13, 2009 at Vesper Country Club in Tyngsboro, MA. Vesper Country Club was established in 1875 and was a charter member of the Massachusetts Golf Association. Vesper has hosted numerous golf events including four Massachusetts Open Championships, several Massachusetts Amateur Championships and the New England PGA. This beautiful and historic course, along with Vesper’s first rate facilities will provide a wonderful venue for our tournament.

The Stone Family adoption Assistance Fund was founded in 2007 to commemorate the life and spirit of Andrew Christopher Stone. The fund is dedicated to the building of families through adoption funding. We accomplish this goal by raising funds to provide financial assistance to deserving parents that wish to adopt, or have incurred economic hardship through adoption, and do not have sufficient funds to fulfill their dreams.

We have a variety of participation options for the event. Put together a foursome to come and play or come as an individual and we’ll match you with a group. In addition, consider sponsoring a tee or a green. We will have signage with your name or company name prominently displayed. Another participation option is to donate an item for the raffle or silent auction. Examples of donated items to date are golf for a foursome at The International, Red Sox, Bruins and Celtic tickets, an original painting and a hand sewn quilt. If you are not a golfer we have a Dinner only option so that you can still attend the reception, dinner and silent auction.

We would like you to know that your contributions to the fund go directly to assisting families. The fund has no paid personnel, only volunteers. Except for minor administrative expenses, all of the monies raised by the fund will be granted to worthy families.
